Get iPhone at 15% discount: One secret Apple doesn’t want you to know

Get iPhone at 15% dicsount

Who doesn’t like buying the latest tech from Apple? While Apple’s hardware is advanced and premium, it’s also sometimes overpriced due to its brand value. Many people are reluctant to invest that much in a gadget, but today I am going to share with you one secret that can help you save some bucks when buying Apple products.

The price difference

You must have noticed that Apple products — let’s suppose an iPhone — are listed a couple of hundred dollars cheaper on Amazon or BestBuy when compared to the price listed on the official Apple website. You can get some discounts if you are a student, but other than that, there are almost no discounts on buying products straight from Apple.

Apple Store at Dubai Mall

I went to the Apple Store

A couple of months ago, while visiting Dubai, I went to the Apple Store located in Dubai Mall to buy an iPhone 15 Pro. I wanted to buy its 256 GB variant which was priced at AED 4,699 (USD 1280/ INR 107000/ EUR 1193).

My conversation with the sales representative

Me: Hey there, I want to buy this 256 GB iPhone 15 Pro in the Natural Titanium color.

Sales Rep: Sure, that would be AED 4,699. Do you want to pay with cash or a card?

Me: I went to other retailers, and they are offering me the same phone at a much lower price. Don’t you have any discount as well?

Sales Rep: Not really; this is what the price is.

Me: No problem; I will buy from the other retailer then. Why pay extra for the exact same product?

Sales Rep: Alright, I have got an offer for you. Show me the discounted price on any of the retailer’s websites, and I will talk to my manager and get you your iPhone at that price.

Me: (smiling from inside) Sure! Here it is. Amazon UAE is selling the same model for AED 3,995 (USD 1088/ INR 91000 / EUR 1014).

**That’s a 15% discount on the original price**

Sales Rep: (Took my phone with the price on, talked to his manager, and came back) Here’s your iPhone at AED 3,995.

The conclusion

Apple offers a price-match policy on its Apple Stores but does not advertise it. So next time, whenever you want to buy any Apple product, don’t forget this tip. You can save a lot of money like I did. (I saved $200)

Let me know if you already know about this or if it is something new for you.
